The Demon King is a character created specifically for the donghua. The Demon residents inside of Neil's mind's eye, he chose Neil specifically because "he is like a black hole." and can "absorb all [The Demon King's] negative energy." Therefore the Demon King may sleep and rest well without creatures disturbing him.
Appearance[]
The Demon King is a gigantic, winged black beast, that has multiple spikes along his body that fade into a dark purple. His eyes are pure yellow. He dons large, ram-like horns that are striped a glowing blue pattern. These blue markings can be found on his torso, legs, arms, and pointy spade-like tail. His finger sprout long, black claws that are able to demolish buildings. The Demon King also has huge, black wings with maroon membranes. His tail sports a spade shape, and a bright teal color that is not found anywhere else on his body. He has a fat stomach and thick, muscular limbs.
When he is possessing Neil, Neil has elongated horns and glowing red eyes.
The Demon King's "Mochi Form", as a result of the aftermath of episode 24, he resembled a small elongated black mochi. He is a simple dark figure consisting of two eyes and a mouth.
Personality[]
The demon king does not care about strength and power, it just wants to rest without being bothered. In episode 24, he chose to trust Neil on a whim. The Demon King traditionally chooses to preserve himself rather than expend his energy. In his Mochi form he seems to be more rambunctious, but this may be due to outside circumstances.

- The Demon King is believed to have been created solely as a plot device for the Donghua.
- Lily knew that the Demon King controlled Neil in episode 36 in the play.
